Neck Deep

In 2016, I spent four weeks roaming the country with Neck Deep. It was my first tour as a photographer and I stayed up until 4 AM every day editing photos. It was a fun experience and reliving those days through photos is always a trip.

I couldn’t figure out which edit I liked best back then and fluctuated between unrealistic pink tones for live shots and a more reasonable tone for daily life stuff. For whatever reason I have a hard time abandoning the idea that documentary photography should be edited in a “lifelike” way — but the new generation of photographers is definitely helping me accept the beauty of the surreal.

Anyway, here are a shit ton of photos. Enjoy!
